Township of Tehkummah

The Ombudsman received a complaint regarding four meetings held by council for the Township of Tehkummah in June 2018. The complainant told my Office that the exterior doors to the municipal administration were locked during two council meetings and that insufficient public notice was provided for two more council meetings. During our review, we identified several best practices to enhance the accountability and transparency of the Township’s council meetings.
